WATERPROOFING SOLUTION

NoSeep Membrane
Waterproofing

Formulated with FTR Technology, NoSeep is a pure acrylic elastomeric membrane that creates a 100% seamless, fully bonded barrier. Engineered to move with your substrate, it completely eliminates the joints, leaks, and blistering risks common in traditional waterproofing systems.

Product Overview & Core Components

The NoSeep system is a cement-free, water-based, pure acrylic elastomeric membrane waterproofing solution designed for horizontal applications. It features two distinct formulas used in tandem:

  • NoSeep-1 (For smaller voids): A liquid-form product that penetrates deep into pores to form a flexible, water-repellent protective film. It acts as a primer/impregnation layer applied by brush or roller, with a maximum thickness of about 45–50 microns per coat.

  • NoSeep-2 (For bigger voids): A paste-form product used to fill larger voids, cracks, and provide an abrasion-resistant surface. It is used alongside a 45 GSM nylon mesh reinforcement and can be ordered in custom/desirable colors.

Key Features

  • Pot Life: 3 hours

  • Shelf Life: 18 months

  • Properties: Anti-fungal, water and indentation resistant, exterior grade, tough, durable, and color-fast.

Technical Performance Data

According to its technical data sheet, the system meets several key standard certifications:

  • Solid Content & VOC: High solid content (99.20%) and exceptionally low VOC (0.10%).

  • Thickness: 1.39 mm overall thickness under standard testing.

  • Strength & Elasticity: Tensile strength of 13.28 (ASTM D412), Hardness of 49 Shore D, and a water absorption rate of just 1.24%.

  • Durability: Shows excellent peel strength to concrete ($2.40\text{ N/mm}$) and passed impact testing with “No Perforation Seen”.

Standard Application Procedures

1. Terrace, Water Tank, & Swimming Pool Waterproofing

The manufacturer outlines a strict multi-step application protocol:

  1. Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean dust, oil, and contaminants; ensure the substrate is sound and free of standing water.

  2. Priming (NoSeep-1): Apply two coats of NoSeep-1 (with a 6–8 hour dry time between them), moving the roller in 8 directions for maximum penetration. Extend coverage 200–300 mm up vertical parapets.

  3. Crack Treatment: Fill visible cracks with NoSeep-2 paste using a trowel.

  4. Reinforcement (Perimeters & Main Area): Apply a layer of NoSeep-2 and embed a 45 GSM nylon mesh directly into the wet coating across all perimeters and main surfaces. Allow to dry for 10–12 hours.

  5. Final Coat: Apply a final coat of NoSeep-2 to achieve a uniform thickness of 1.5–2.0 mm.

2. Specialized Use Cases

  • Bore Packing (Pipes): Wrap the gap around pipes using a 3-to-4-times folded nylon mesh dipped in NoSeep-2. Let dry for 12 hours, then apply an 8-inch wet mesh collar over the floor and pipe, sealing it entirely with NoSeep-2.

  • Water Tanks & Pools: Tiled water tanks only require two coats of NoSeep-1. For untiled tanks and swimming pools, follow the full full-mesh procedure. Notably, if tiling a pool over the waterproofing, only NoSeep-2 must be used as the tile adhesive.

Competitive Advantages

Acrylic Elastomeric vs. PU Waterproofing

The brochure positions this cement-free acrylic system as a highly breathable, UV-stable alternative to Polyurethane (PU) systems:

  • Dampness & Application: It tolerates marginal substrate dampness and is painter-friendly (moderate skill), whereas PU requires a completely dry substrate and highly specialized applicators.

  • Weathering & Maintenance: It features excellent UV resistance (no yellowing) and lower, more predictable lifecycle costs, avoiding the sudden blistering and delamination risks associated with moisture-trapping PU membranes.

Seamless Film Flooring vs. HDPE Sheet Systems

Compared to traditional High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sheet systems, the NoSeep “Seamless Film” technology provides superior structural synergy:
